Why Pistachio is now the King
Discover why pistachio is the breakout star of 2025 in the bakery world. From indulgent patisserie to modern bakes…
Faced with climate change and the biodiversity crisis, the pastry desserts sector must reinvent itself to remain a part of everyone’s plate in 2050. That’s why, for the past two years, we’ve been building an ambitious decarbonisation strategy aligned with the latest scientific data. This rigorous work has just been recognised: our emissions reduction targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the international benchmark for climate trajectories.
Let’s start with a bit of vocabulary!
Using 2022 as our baseline year, our targets to achieve by 2030 are:
To meet these ambitious carbon reduction targets, we’ve adopted a structured and rigorous approach. By following the ACT Step by Step methodology, we have:
✅ Accurately assessed the carbon impact of our activities across all production sites for scopes 1, 2, 3, and FLAG
✅ Identified the most relevant decarbonisation levers
✅ Built a roadmap aligned with our targets, contributing to limiting global warming to 1.5°C
Our approach is built around three key pillars:
The validation of our decarbonisation trajectory by the SBTi both motivates and commits us to continue our efforts, in line with the challenges of our sector and the expectations of society.
